The Orchard District Neighborhood Association was recognized by the City Council June 5th of 2002, becoming Bend's third neighborhood association.  Neighborhood Associations were created by the City of Bend to facilitate the flow of information and services between the City and its residents.

Neighborhood Associations regularly receive and distribute information from the City of Bend, Deschutes County, and the Bend Park and Recreation District; on topics such as land use, traffic safety, and development news. Neighborhood Associations also have direct contact with City staff and council. Residents can learn about process through a Neighborhood Association and follow city protocol to express opinions.

Each Neighborhood Association is a voluntary association of residents and / or businesses, recognized by the City and created to provide opportunities to focus on: crime prevention, community gardens, clean-up projects, traffic safety issues, sidewalk improvements, bicycle access ways, trails and parks, noxious weed abatement, fire protection plans, and more.  Whether its parks, recreational trails, traffic concerns, transportation, or what construction project is proposed on the corner, collective voices from a Neighborhood Association can make a change and have positive influence.

Orchard District Neighborhood Association (ODNA) encourages residents to come together to invest in the long-term livability of our neighborhood, community, and city.

Become an active part of the Orchard District Neighborhood Association, please attend a board meeting or our annual General Membership meeting, or drop us an email and get involved.  Be that collective voice for Bend’s East side.  Help plan for the long term benefit of our community.

If you live, operate a business, or own property in our neighborhood, we invite you to become a member.  There are no dues or fees; it's all about neighbors helping to improve the neighborhood.  We welcome you to the Orchard District neighborhood!
